Princess Priorities
By way of explanation, Yoshi and Tsuki could not be more different where food is concerned. Tsuki likes to sleep-in, and you have to call her a bunch of times before she's willing to give up her beauty sleep and come down for breakfast. Yoshi, on the other hand, would throw you under a bus for one bite of a stale biscuit.
Tsuki is a baby in these pictures, in case you're confused. My husband has always loved these photos of her, which is I guess what inspired him to make them into such a cute little comic.

Photoshop Trick: Removing Eyeshine
For anyone who takes pictures of animals, eyeshine can be one of the most vexing problems, and can ruin an otherwise beautifully composed photograph. Over the years, I've tried numerous trial-and-error methods of getting rid of it using Photoshop, and have had some success. Unfortunately, because I never took the time to write down what I was doing, I always found myself reinventing the wheel. Well, today, I finally decided to look up the problem on the internet and see how other people were dealing with it.
I am happy to report that I actually found a pretty good set of instructions. I did have a couple of places where I got confused, so I created another version that includes some comments in the places where I ran into trouble. I hope you find it helpful.
Here is an example of how well this method works (with some additional tweaking to make the eyes look more natural):

Someone's Birthday is Coming Up...
![]()
That's right! Tsuki's going to be 3(!) on May 2nd!
Guess we'll have to be on the lookout for good-smelling packages.

Mother Teresa
Tsuki has an adorable habit of burrowing under the covers while I get ready for work in the morning. When I come into the bedroom after taking a shower, there's usually a telltale lump under the comforter. After a while, she usually gets too hot and comes out, but, as she's emerging, the comforter is draped over her head for a few seconds and she looks like Mother Teresa. When she comes out, I always say "Hi, Mother!" And, we call the telltale lump under the covers "The Mother Pile."
These aren't exactly pictures of Tsuki's Mother Teresa routine, but she was sleeping with the covers pulled up over her like a person, which is almost as cute as the whole Mother Teresa thing. Maybe someday we'll actually get some photos of her with the comforter draped over her head.

Hangin' by the Pool

You'd have to be crazy to go in that thing, but it's nice to sit beside on a sunny day.
Mrs. Cheney
![]()
When Tsuki scratches, she has Dick Cheney's sneer. This led to her being called Mrs. Cheney when she was a baby. Now we just call her The Missus.

Tsuki Got Da Bling
![]()
We got this collar for Tsuki when we were in Toronto last July. We've never even put it on her, mostly because she's so fluffy, it would just get buried in her fur. But, it's too cute not to share, so here's a picture.

The Little Missus
While Yoshi is busy hopping onto tables and trying to break the cats' perch, the little Missus tends to stick to activities that have the Mom & Popi seal of approval, for example:
1.) Sitting on the couch looking adorable.
2.) Making funny faces. Every time the camera comes out, she starts with the faces.
3.) Laying like a frog. A perennial Mom & Popi favorite.
4.) Laying like a frog (see #3 above) can only be topped by sleeping like a frog. Very cute, and as far as we can tell, it's an activity that has never caused a rip in the curtains.

The Many Faces of Tsuki
![]()
I bet most of you didn't know that Tsuki is royalty. Yep, she is. We call her the Frog Princess.
![]()
Tsuki is also an accomplished Yogi (not the bear, silly). Here she is demonstrating the highly advanced downward dog posture. Don't try this one at home folks, only the truly gifted can do stair yoga.
![]()
Who knew that cat charming would be one of Tsuki's many talents? But, pictures don't lie. Here's Tsuki petting a cat that, historically, has not been very fond of, well, anything.
Impressions. Yes, Tsuki is also very good at impersonations. I think she needs to work on this one a little bit though, 'cuz I'm not sure exactly who she's supposed to be.

Sister from Another Planet?

I've occasionally had reason to suspect that Tsuki is from another planet, but now I have proof! Her feet never touch the ground! See?

Little Miss Funny Face

It's really hard to get a good picture of Tsuki, 'cuz she's always making funny faces.

A Family Resemblance
It's almost like looking in a mirror. A really tiny mirror, but a mirror nonetheless.
